Madrid Girls U16 Win Nomads!!!
Atletico Madrid, USA girls under 16 soccer team won the Nomads College Showcase 2007 in San Diego. The team went 5-0 overall and scored 13 goals while only giving up 1. Andrea Zimkowski (St. Joseph HS) scored 4 goals during the weekend including both goals in the final. Karlee Owens (Arroyo Grande HS) had 3 goals for the weekend.
Madrid defeated United Onyz (Oregon) 2-0, Odyssey Red 91 (Fresno) 1-0, Flagstaff 91 Red Flash (Arizona) 6-1, Bangu Tsunami (Minnesota) 2-0 and in the finals defeated TVSA Hawks 2-0.
